    Abbreviation

    Business Continuity Plan

    A plan for sustaining or restoring critical services when normal operations are disrupted.

  • CalSync

    A Digital Workplace service that lets public officers access or synchronise their work calendar remotely.

  • Case Connect

    A common platform for frontline officers and caseworkers to refer clients, share assessments and updates, and coordinate cross-agency interventions.

  • Comet

    GovTech's newer cloud-based work-laptop environment, intended to replace non-SE GSIB over time.

  • CR

    Abbreviation

    Change Request

    A formal request to modify an approved system, project, configuration, scope or service. The proposed change is normally reviewed for impact and approved before implementation.

    Context: In technology and project contexts, a CR generally seeks approval to change something, while an SR requests access, support or a standard service.

  • Cumulus

    A cloud ERP initiative designed to standardise and centralise corporate services for participating statutory boards.

    Abbreviation

    Distribution List

    An Outlook or Exchange group address used to send one email to multiple recipients.

    A suite of productivity tools and digital enablers for public officers, including services such as CalSync, DLP and Secure Internet Surfing.

    A product status indicating that a service is fully supported, secure and ready for agency-wide scaling for core services.

    Government Managed Device

    An internet or government-furnished device enrolled with the government's endpoint-management and security controls.

  • GoGovSG

    A government link-shortening and file-sharing service that lets public officers create recognisable, trusted go.gov.sg links for public communications.

    The standard government work-device build commonly associated with an officer’s managed work laptop and its security controls.

    Example: GSIB is why installing one tiny tool can become its own workstream.

    Context: IM8 remains the widely recognised shorthand even though current official wording does not always present it as a numbered manual.

    Information Security Authentication Card

    A Ministry of Defence information-security authentication card.

    Context: The official abbreviation is ISAC; 'ISAAC card' is a common misspelling or mishearing.

  • Jaga the Cybersecurity Hedgehog

    A cybersecurity mascot created by GovTech in 2017 to educate public officers and now used by CSA for public outreach.

    Abbreviation

    Microsoft 365

    Microsoft's cloud productivity and collaboration suite, including services such as Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.

    Abbreviation

    Machine Learning & AI Enterprise-level Secure Tool-Suite for Reliable Operations

    A secure Whole-of-Government AI and MLOps platform for developing, deploying and monitoring machine-learning models on the government intranet.

  • non-SE GSIB

    Abbreviation

    Non-Secured Email Government Standard Image Build

    A GSIB work device without the Secured Email features, used for access to internet-facing and government technology services.

    Also heard as: non-SE-GSIB, non secured email GSIB, non-Secured Email GSIB

    Context: GovTech documentation states that Comet will eventually replace non-SE GSIB.

    Abbreviation

    One Client View

    A cross-agency system giving authorised frontline officers a consolidated view of clients' circumstances and assistance so support can be coordinated promptly.

    Context: Clients provide consent for agencies to retrieve the relevant information.

  • Pair

    A secure suite of AI productivity tools built for Singapore public officers, including Pair Chat, Pair Intern, Pair Search and Pair Noms.

    Also heard as: Pair suite

  • Pair Chat

    A secure, ChatGPT-like conversational tool for public officers to perform writing, analysis and coding tasks on government-issued devices.

    Also heard as: Pair chatbot, Pair AI chat

    Context: Pair Chat is a product within the wider Pair suite.

  • Pilot

    An early-stage, limited-availability product release used to refine features through real-world agency feedback.

    Also heard as: pilot status, product pilot

    Context: A pilot is not the same as a fully supported General Availability service.

  • PS card

    Abbreviation

    Public Service Card

    A physical Public Service identity or benefits card issued to eligible officers; functions and retention arrangements vary by ministry and employment status.

  • PST

    Abbreviation

    Personal Storage Table

    An Outlook data-file format that can contain email, contacts, calendar items, tasks and locally stored archives.

    Also heard as: .pst, Outlook Data File, Outlook archive, PST file

    Context: This intentionally collides with several existing PST meanings.

  • RPA

    Abbreviation

    Robotic Process Automation

    Software automation used to carry out repetitive, rules-based tasks across business systems.

    A GSIB device configured with Secured Email capabilities.

    Abbreviation

    A configurable government data-exchange layer supporting platforms such as SGFinDex and SGTraDex through managed APIs and routing.

  • SIS

    Abbreviation

    A government remote-browsing service that lets public officers access the internet more safely from work devices.

  • SmartCompose

    An AI writing assistant helping citizen-facing public officers draft clearer, more empathetic responses using trusted reference material.

  • SPO

    Abbreviation

    SharePoint Online

    Microsoft's cloud-hosted SharePoint service, commonly used for team sites, document libraries, archives and knowledge repositories.

    A product lifecycle status in which new onboarding has stopped and support is focused on transition or migration to alternatives.

    Context: A sunset service may continue operating during migration; it does not necessarily switch off immediately.

  • TechPass

    The government technology access identity used by officers and vendors for supported platforms and services.

  • WOG ID

    Abbreviation

    Whole-of-Government identity account

    A government account used by public officers to access supported government technology services, generally based on the officer's official government email identity.

  • Workday

    A shared cloud platform used by participating statutory boards for human-resource, finance and payroll services.

    Also heard as: Workday platform, Workday system

  • Workpal

    A mobile front end that gives public officers access to employee services such as leave, salary information and workplace functions.
